💪 Updates: Activate on First Use & Cancellation/No-show Auto-charge 💰 Settings
NEW: activate on first-use memberships automatically amends start & end dates if a customer moves their first class, and late cancel/no-show auto-charges can be linked to a membership renewal period.
Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference…we’ve got two new updates that may not look shiny and exciting on the outside, but we know they’ll make a massive difference in optimizing your day-to-day internally 😎
Activate on First Use Updates Automatically
You heard that right.
If you have any activate-on-first-use memberships, we know you’ve experienced a time when a customer buys the membership & books their first class in the future, but then decides they want to come tomorrow instead. To the customer, it seems like everything should update automatically, yet it had to be amended on the back end to work.Â
Well, not anymore. We’ve been working out the kinks on this one for a while now, and are so excited to be launching it. Now, any activate-on-first-use membership will automatically update the start and end date to match the earliest booking if a customer decides they want to come before their initial booked class. This provides simplicity and ease on the customer's end and gives you back any time you would have spent manually adjusting on the back end.
There is nothing you have to do to set this up on your end, just sit back and notice how much time you suddenly have back in your day 😉
Late Cancel & No-show Auto-charges Work with Membership Renewals
Have you been wanting to use our late cancel/no-show auto-charge feature, but your policy allows for one free pass each renewal period? We just enhanced the settings so you can do just that.
Now, when creating a new attendance penalty rule, you have the ability to set a late cancel or no-show minimum and decide if it’s for the past X number of days, or during the membership period.
For example, let’s say you have a monthly unlimited membership, and you want to charge for late cancels, however, you want to give your members one ‘free pass’ each month. You can set this up to have a minimum of 2 times during the renewal period to charge for anytime someone cancels 2 or more times in a month (see below).
To set up auto-charges using these new rules, go to: Settings > Cancellation policy > Add new rule.
