New Momence Features to Make your Black Friday Sales a Breeze ๐ธ๐
Customers can now schedule a future date to have a gift card sent to a friend; sell money and class credits through the POS; plus more tips for maximizing your holiday deals.
To support you in having the most impactful holiday sales, we are excited to announce the release of a few new features, plus weโve shared some tips for how to use Momence to maximize your efforts this season ๐
Gift Card Scheduling
Making gift cards available for purchase is a great way to bring in additional revenue during the holiday season. Your customers already love your business, so encouraging them to share the love by purchasing a gift card for a friend or family member is a win-win for everybody! Also, letting your customers know gift cards are an option allows them to drop the hint of what they really want to anyone buying them a gift this year ๐
Knowing how big gift card sales can be during this time of year, we have just released the ability for the purchaser to select a future date for the gift card to go to the recipient. This is perfect for anyone who wants to get their holiday shopping finished early, but want their loved one to be surprised on whichever day they are celebrating!
Now, if a customer is purchasing a gift card through your online purchase link, they will have the option to Send message later, which will prompt them to select the best date and time for the gift to be delivered.
Set up your gift card creation page under Settings > Gift card creation page.
Note that, within your Transactional templates, there is now a Gift card purchased as a gift confirmation template that you can edit however youโd like to ensure that the gift receiver gets a message aligned with your brand and voice. You can make adjustments to this template under Studio set-up > Transactional templates > Gift card purchased as a gift confirmation.
Sell Money and Class Credits Through the POS
You can now sell money and class credits to customers from the POS. This is a useful feature if you have customers who like to pay you a customized lump sum for credits, and then use those credits on various items without any time restrictions.
This new tool can be especially useful during your holiday sales, because you can choose to offer customers a special discount for purchasing a certain amount of credits. For example, if you wanted to do a โspend $75 and get $100 in account credits.โ You can even create a scale of promotions to entice customers to spend more (i.e. โspend $25 to get $30, spend $50 to get $60, spend $75 to get $100, etc.) and you can now do this easily through the POS!
We recommend offering this kind of promotion as an in-person discount for Black Friday or Small Business Saturday.
Other Holiday Promotion Ideas
Create offers limited to the first few buyers using discount code global usage settings. This creates a sense of excitement and urgency for customers to jump on a big purchase. For example, you could create discount codes that:
offer $100 off of a prepaid annual membership for the first 10 people to purchase
give the first 5 buyers 10% off of a new monthly auto-renew forever
To create new discount codes with global limits: Studio set-up > Discount Codes > select Limited usage limit > set Usage globally amount
Create a special holiday membership that offers initial discounted months, then goes back to your standard pricing using the Change price after certain number of renewals setting within subscriptions. This is a great offer for customers who already have a membership, and you want to lock them to a commitment of a 6 or 12 month contract. For example, you could offer:
commit to a 12-month contract and get your first three months of 2024 at a 25% discount
commit to a 6-month contract and get your first month free
you can also use the restriction settings to choose who is eligible to purchase any membership, and/or decide if your special subscription can only be purchased once, or only as first subscription
